As you prepare for the 2014 racing season, please consider the following rules when deciding if you will purchase a one day or annual license. Also, one day license riders are not eligible to earn points in the KCA Kansas Best All Around Rider and Kansas Best All Around Cyclocross Rider competitions. If you do purchase an annual license, please designate your correct club (and team, if applicable) for each discipline. The KCA downloads its racer data directly from USAC. If your data is not correct in USAC records, it will not be correct in KCA records.
(c) One-day Beginner licenses may be purchased online through the USA Cycling registration system or onsite at any USA Cycling sanctioned event and are valid for a single day of racing. One-day beginner licenses may only be purchased by the lowest category of racer for that discipline; i.e., category 5 men for road, track, and cyclo-cross, category 4 women for road, track and cyclo-cross, and category 2 or 3 for MTB. One-day licenses may not be used for Championship events. No rider may purchase a one-day beginner license if he or she ever held an annual license with a category higher than any of the aforementioned.
(5)You may apply the cost of your one-day trial competitive license ($15) to the cost of your annual adult membership ($70). To receive the $15 discount, the one day license receipt must be attached to the annual license application at the time of purchase. The one day license and annual license must be for the same rider. The one day license application must have been purchased within three months of the annual license purchase. For an online annual license purchase, the one day license application must be mailed to USA Cycling and a refund will be issued. Only one discount per adult annual license per year will be granted. The discount does not apply to International, Collegiate, or Junior licenses.
