The KCA Board of Directors has approved revisions to the KCA Bylaws. The revised version may be viewed here. The revisions to the Bylaws primarily relate to incorporating into KCA racing clubs that have an address of record in a Missouri county bordering Kansas and USAC licensed individuals who reside in a Missouri county bordering Kansas. This is in keeping with the USAC concept of racing associations being defined by racing communities rather than by state lines. This change allows these clubs and individuals to actively participate in the governance of the USAC local association (KCA) that provides their race support. The Bylaws were further revised to increase the number of Board members from five to between five and nine, define additional officer positions on the Board and allow an unattached racer to serve on the Board. Questions regarding the Bylaws should be directed to Sherri Hahn at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The KCA would like to announce that the results of the state championship events held June 7-8 in and around Pittsburg, KS, have been posted on the KCA website.
KS racers deserve the timely and accurate posting of results they’ve come to
expect from KCA, and so the KCA apologizes for the delay in processing and transmitting
results of the recent state championship events, and for any inconvenience caused
by the delay. KCA wishes the best of luck to competitors in this weekend’s
2008 Kansas Category Time Trial Championship, to be held Sunday, June 22, in
beautiful downtown Walnut, KS. For more information on this weekend’s
events and on the 2008 Omnium, please visit the State
Championships page of the KCA website.
You may have seen the words "Entry fee includes $1 KCA Surcharge" on race announcements for Kansas races. The KCA surcharge is a exactly that — a surcharge collected by the race promoters from the riders and paid to the KCA.
USCF rules allow Local Associations to collect a surcharge from racers. This surcharge is an important source of funding for the association and the KCA uses the money collected to fund it’s general operations.
The KCA Registration and Results system, USCF Officials Clinics and the various Kansas State Championships are all examples of KCA supported activities.
For a complete accounting of the KCA operations look at the Financial Reports on About KCA section of this web site.
